Why I'm Stepping Up for Equity

Wanona Satcher is CEO/Founder of ReJuve, a charitable nonprofit for social good. She was a Neighborhood Development Specialist and the project manager for the Durham Urban Innovation Center within the City of Durham, North Carolina. Over the course of her career she’s served as an urban designer, landscape architect designer, city planner, economic developer, art curator and theatre producer. Wanona holds Economic Development and Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council in small business development and real estate development. 

 

Wanona’s big vision is to eradicate poverty and to use design as the tool to solve the world’s greatest challenges. Her eleven-year career has provided key partnerships and friends who are also change agents in investing, design and community development. You are who you hang with.

 

ReJuve, a charitable nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, connects resources and opportunity in efforts to mobilize low-wealth communities to generate equitable solutions. Our vision is to inspire and uplift low-wealth communities through innovative urban design strategies that revolutionize engagement between citizens, government and private enterprise around the globe.
