There have been few times in my life where saying I was a fan of Harry Potter failed to get me a new friend. The love for the series and its characters connected people. The community that surrounds Harry Potter is one of people who believe in magic. The truth is, the magic these people believe in comes through in their own actions.
Following the death of some key Harry Potter actors, such as Alan Rickman who played Snape and Richard Harris, Harry Potter fans came together in memory of their contribution to the series. Fans take the Harry Potter world seriously. That’s part of the charm, though, Harry Potter and other members of the wizarding community became a part of most people’s family.
Fans of Harry Potter have enjoyed 20 years of magic thanks to the mind of J.K. Rowling. They’ve learned that magic is more than spells but in actions. The characters of Harry Potter came together as the fans have when times get tough. They help shed a bit of light into the world. The magic that Harry Potter brought into their life was reciprocated by the magic fans can bring to the world.
Fans will continue to share this magic and allow Harry Potter into their homes. Always.
