An Open Letter about Following Your Dreams

August 6, 2017

I feel as if it is safe to assume that everyone has a dream of some kind. Some people dream of having a stable job and a family, some people dream of fame and fortune, some people dream of having a business. Whether the dream be big or small, everyone has one and everyone has a point A and a point B.

Something I have learned in my short 19 years on this Earth is not to wait for opportunities to find me. To get where you are going, you have to chase what you are after.

I find that many people wait for their dreams to find them, they are waiting for a sign, they are waiting for it to just happen to them. The thing is though, extraordinary things do not just happen.

To get where you are going, you have to do yourself a favor and do what you can to make it happen.

If you want a degree, go get it. If you want to make music, do it. Anyone can upload to iTunes. If you want to help people, do it.

There are too many opportunities in this world that need to be chased. Sitting and waiting for them is ineffective and wastes time that could be spent making something out of life.

Go get what you want. Get a degree, make that music, help those people. Do what you want and go out and chase your dreams because life is too short to wait for opportunities. The space between point A and point B is so full of opportunity and it is time to get inspired to achieve your dreams.

For those who are waiting for a sign, this is it. Chase your dreams unapologetically.
