I cannot stress enough how important it is to be kind to everyone. We live in a world where shootings happen every week and lives are lost all the time. It’s important that we show kindness to everyone. When we show kindness to someone, that person starts to believe in humanity and they will believe that people are truly genuine. Being kind can go a long way.
I truly believe that you should be the change you wish to see in the world. If you want to stop hearing about shootings and violence every week, then you have to be the change. Start off by being kind to your family and friends. Then, start to reach out and be kind to your neighbors, classmates, and even strangers in your area.
Being kind takes zero energy and it does not take up too much of your time. It’s important to be kind in order to show others that there is hope in humanity. With all of the shootings and violence that goes on in the world, we start to lose faith in our society and we start to believe that good people no longer exist. When we’re kind to others, we show that there is still good left in the world.
I strongly believe in the quote, “be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people.” It’s hard to be kind to people, especially if they’re nasty to you, but I learned the hard way that fighting with fire never solves anything. It’s important to be kind to those who may be nasty to you because they are the ones who need it the most. When you’re kind to someone who is rude to you, they will often realize how rude and disrespectful they were and then they will apologize. Sometimes they will continue to be rude, but as long as you continue to be kind, then you will at least know that you did nothing wrong.
Always choose kindness no matter how hard it is because the ones who are rude to you are the ones who need it the most. Be the change you wish to see in the world. If you want to see more good in humanity, it must start with YOU. The good will then become a chain reaction. When others see you being kind, it’ll influence them to be kind as well. A better world starts off with you first. Always choose kindness.
