Five Places to Visit In NYC

April 27, 2018

The city that never sleeps: New York City. The Big Apple is the most chaotic city I have ever lived in, and trust me, I do not see myself anywhere else. New York City is a place where you can simply be you without fear of being judged. I know there are those times when we want to explore the city, but we simply don’t have enough money to do it. Here are 5 awesome pop-ups currently in NYC that will allow you to have a blast while not emptying your wallet.

This pop-up house is a must, especially if you have a love for eggs! Yes, this pop-up house is everything eggs. Egg furniture, egg clothing, an egg pool, and better yet, you can swing on an eggshell. This pop-up house is located on the Lower East Side of New York City. The exhibit allows each visitor to enter a world of fantasy and you can create your own character living in this egg land. This is the perfect place if you want to take amazing colorful pictures for Facebook or Instagram. The best part of it all is that it’s only $18 an entry, and if you show a School ID, I’m sure you could get some awesome discounts. The Egg House will be open until May, so don’t miss out!

RIPNDIP
40 Mercer St, New York, NY 10013

11am-7pm

This pop-up shop is a garden-filled wonderland, complete with weird cat figures, and it is a unique environment to shop in. While the whole store sells vintage 90’s chic attire with bomber jackets and oversized tees, the store itself has a story of its own. The whole store is decorated to make the guests feel as though they are in a garden filled with giant cats and interesting shaped flowers. It is a must-see, and hey, you do not necessarily need to shop to get an amazing picture for Instagram!

STORY
144 10th Ave, New York, NY 10011
11am-7pm

Are you a person who cannot work at home and needs a different environment? Do you need something much more fun and interesting than Starbucks or the library? Well, STORY is a place I must recommend. Trust me, it is way better than sitting in Barnes and Noble. STORY is a store located in Manhattan. This store has different showrooms filled with chic workplace furniture that you can buy. The awesome thing about STORY is that you can actually sit down and work in the showrooms, and they even have a café as well, so you don’t have to worry about leaving your work in order to go out and buy yourself a cup of delicious coffee. It was founded by Rachel Shechtman, a former brand consultant for Kraft, Toms shoes, and Lincoln. The idea behind STORY was to create a retail concept that would serve as a matchmaker between brands and consumers, integrating strategies of marketing, merchandising, and business development. STORY is a place I recommend when nowhere else seems to give you motivation to write or finish work.
