Are you looking to declutter your life? Consider starting with the clothes that you don’t need or want anymore. Are you trying to free up the space in your closet, but don’t know where to go, or who to sell to for the best results? Well, now there's an app for that!

First, you can download the Mercari App for a one-stop platform that allows you to buy and sell men’s, women’s, and kids’ clothes and shoes. To get started, all you have to do is take a few pictures and give descriptions of the items you want to sell, print out the shipping labels once they’re emailed to you, and wait for the sale to be completed. Not to mention the free listings and flat 10% selling fee that gets tacked on once the sale is complete.

Another similar app that's free to download and great for selling clothes on is Vinted. Like Mercari, all you have to do to get the ball rolling is to take a few pictures and write out a description of the items you want to put up for sale, pick a selling price, and wait for the sale to be complete while your items get their own free listings.

If you’re looking to sell a plethora of clothes from more than one designer, then look no further than ThredUP. You can sell men’s, women’s, kids’, and even maternity wear from a whole laundry list of brands like J. Crew, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft, Lilly Pulitzer, Madewell, and Talbots.

For anyone with a more high-end closet of clothes that needs to be cleaned out, look no further than TheRealReal app. With luxury brands ranging from Valentino, Gucci, Prada, and Chanel to Burberry, Louis Vuitton, and Celine, you can sell as many designer-brand clothes as you want and still have a nice kickback once the sale is complete.

On the other hand, if the clothes that you’re looking to sell are on the more local side, then you can always download and take advantage of the OfferUp app. With all kinds of different brands to pick from, just take a few pictures of what you want to post, give a description for buyers to browse, and share your posting for everyone to see. The best part is that postings only take 30 seconds.

And of course, you can’t forget about the classic, old reliable Ebay for selling pretty much anything, including clothes for men, women, and kids. Not to mention, you can sell accessories from jewelry and scarves to makeup and shoes from any brand.

With Depop, you can have the social media presence of an Instagram account and make a nice nest egg of money for selling your clothes. It’s almost like you’re building a personal store out of the clothes that you buy and sell. The only drawback to be wary of is their 10% commission and PayPal fees.

While trying to declutter stress from your life is already beneficial and life affirming, it can have  the added benefit of helping you earn some much-needed (and well-deserved!) spending money--especially where selling clothes is concerned. You and the buyer are both getting something good out of it. They can now get that new dress they’ve been scouring the online stores for, and you now can buy new clothes with the money you made.
